hey , we plan on launching our ecommerce store soon, we sell hand made items, one of our categories is hand made mosaics , and a lot of them are made to order/ custom made.

my question to anyone who does custom orders, how do you handle communication regarding the order with the customer and going back forth about the order ? I know etsy have the seller direct messaging but we will not use and we plan to only sell on our ecommerce shopify website , any solutions please ?
