I was driving to work this morning and the idea of a pretty niche store popped up in my head. I ran the idea across a couple relatively savvy friends and they all thought it was a great idea and had some good input on how to make it better and some great ways to offer more value.
The products are nothing new of special, but they are more focused on a lifestyle when combined. I’ve spent about 2-3 hours tonight looking for competitors, which aside from Amazon selling everything under the sun there are none, mapping out products and creating an initial product list. Seems like that will be the most time consuming part of this. The social media is a given, as well as a water tight and professional looking site.
My main question is sourcing products to be drop shipped through my site. For example I sell widget A, but I’m not 100% sure where to find these products and how to make that order – ship process streamlined. None of these products are something I uniquely create.
I figure I have a lot of research to do, and this is the main question I have as of now. I actually have the idea for a couple stores, and the sourcing of products to be drop shipped has been the common hurdle.
EDIT: for some clarification on platform and what I’ve found so far, is using a Shopify site with the AmaZone + Walmart app: https://apps.shopify.com/amazone-dropshipper
